Good call SDH!
I would have skipped that one, assuming the stream to have been removed due to the commercial release.
(as is the case here-http://www.archive.org/details/gd74-10-20.sbd.finney.229.sbeok.shnf )
I love '74.

Just realized while streaming this show...Donna's mic is not in the mix. Playin' benefits hugely. Just as I was steeling myself for the perfunctory spine shredding howl, I was met instead with only the faintest of far off shrieks that was being picked up by other mics. Thank you Jesus.

I believed someone employed the Dolby D system in the upload process. You remember the advanced audio system that automatically removes any atonal turbulence that the show encounters?

ahhh...a priceless moment I bet! ya know I absolutely do indeed remember those I believe that they was invented to prevent feedback and such while the boys was touring with the wall of sound. I believe that Owsley might have came up with that system too. I'm also shocked that donna "shows up" at all with that technology...LOL

Indeed a fantastic '74 show. Phil absolutely lays it down on Cold Rain & Snow. You know it's going to be a good night when they start with Cold Rain & Snow and close it up with And We Bid You Goodnight! Classic!

I heard somewhere they were all dosed for this show, any truth to this?

Hell, even the Tennessee Jed (not one of my favorites) blows up. Primo stuff.

Just a sick Cold Rain. Classic Wall of Sound.

As it should be, on Sunday night, in San Francisco. The Grateful Dead.

Three sets, Seastones, and a double encore, no wonder they had to take a break. An interesting footnote: Mickey returned to play set 2, 3 and the encores in this finale show.

how in the heck did they ever squeeze the wall of sound into Winterland?? Never saw a show there(Closed before the bus picked me up), but my reference is based on the "closing" video. At that particular show, the stage seems very cramped without the Wall. I can't imagine how cramped it would seem on stage with the wall.
